How to Apply:

1. Online Application:

   • Candidates must apply through the HPPSC official website at hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc. Applications submitted through any other means will be rejected.

   • After visiting the website, click on the “Apply Online” link on the homepage, then proceed to the “One Time Registration (OTR)” page. Register or log in to your account.

   • Complete your profile if you haven’t already, and then apply for the relevant post through the portal. You must upload the required documents as per the advertisement.

   • Before submitting your application, you will need to provide an undertaking that the uploaded documents are legible, true, and of acceptable quality.

2. Payment of Fee:

   • Once your online application is submitted, ensure that the examination fee has been paid. The fee will only be considered complete once it is acknowledged and credited to the Commission’s account.

3. Important Notes:

   • Applications without a recent photograph or signature will be rejected.

   • Only online applications through the HPPSC portal will be accepted.

   • Once submitted, your application cannot be edited except for category changes as per HPPSC rules.

Examination Centers:

• Shimla: The exam centers will be allocated as per availability. If the exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT), centers may vary within Himachal Pradesh.

Examination Fees:

• For Male Candidates (General, EWS, WFF, Ex-Servicemen): ₹600

• For Male Candidates (SC, ST, OBC, EWS under UR-BPL): ₹150

• For Ex-Servicemen from Himachal Pradesh, Blind, Visually Impaired: Exempt from fees

• For Female Candidates: No fee

• For Candidates from Other States (including reserved categories): ₹600

Payment Mode:

• The fee must be paid via online methods like Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or other digital modes.

Selection Process:

1. Screening Test:

   • The first stage includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Offline Screening Test for 100 marks with negative marking. It covers:

     • General knowledge of Himachal Pradesh: 30 Marks

     • General knowledge of National & International Affairs: 30 Marks

     • Knowledge of Hindi language: 20 Marks

     • Knowledge of English language: 20 Marks

2. Subject Aptitude Test (SAT):

   • A descriptive test of 120 marks, lasting 3 hours, covering subject-specific aptitude.

3. Personality Test:

   • Candidates who pass the written exams will be called for a Personality Test.
