About the Commission

The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) is a constitutional body responsible for advising the government on matters related to State Civil Services under Article 320 (3) of the Indian Constitution. The Commission handles recruitment processes for government posts through direct recruitment and promotion from feeder grades based on government requisitions.

Job Details

• Post: Assistant Pharmaceutical Chemist

• Number of Vacancies: 02 (1 – Unreserved, 1 – OBC)

• Pay Scale: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,200 (Pre-revised) (Revised Pay Matrix Level 6)

• Age Limit: Maximum 45 years

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following:

1. Educational Qualification:

   • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution

   • Registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948

2. Work Experience: Minimum three years of experience in any of the following:

   • Hospital Pharmacy/Government Medical Store: Planning and managing drug supply, stock solutions, and galenical preparations

   • Pharmaceutical Industry: Manufacturing and testing of drugs

   • Recognized Testing Laboratory: Testing of drugs under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940

   • Office of the Drugs Controller: Handling issues related to drug standards

3. Language Requirement:

   • Mandatory: Knowledge of Konkani

   • Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi

2. Shortlisting Process: Possessing the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview call. If there is a high volume of applications, the Commission will shortlist candidates.

Application Fee Payment

Candidates must pay the application fee through online or offline mode:

• Online Payment:

  • Complete the payment and download the e-receipt.

• Offline Payment:

  • Generate an e-challan and make a cash payment at any SBI branch in Goa before the deadline.

  • Obtain a bank-stamped e-challan and submit it to the Commission’s office before the last date.

Note: Applications with delayed payments will be rejected, and the fee will not be refunded.
