Government Job Opportunity for Pharmacist to Join GSFDC

The Gujarat State Forest Development Corporation Limited (GSFDC) is a government-owned company that was established in August 1976 in the state of Gujarat, India. It was registered under the Companies Act of 1956. The main objective of GSFDC is to promote sustainable forest management, generate revenue from minor forest produce (MFP), and protect the economic interests of Scheduled Tribes (STs), Scheduled Castes (SCs), and other weaker sections of society.

Job Title: Ayurvedic Pharmacist

Job Location: Vadodara

Qualifications:

1. A degree in Ayurveda or Ayurvedic Pharmacy, Siddha or Unani system of medicine conferred by a recognized University, State Government Statutory Faculties, Councils, or Boards of Indian Systems of Medicine recognized by the Central Government or a State Government. OR
2. A diploma in Ayurveda, Siddha, or Unani system of medicine granted by a State Government or an institution recognized by the Central Government. OR
3. A graduate in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Chemistry or Botany from a University recognized by the Central Government with a minimum of two years of experience in the manufacture of drugs related to Ayurvedic, Siddha, or Unani system of medicine. OR
4. A Vaid or Hakim registered in a State Register Practitioner of indigenous systems of medicine with a minimum of four years of experience in the manufacture of Siddha or Unani drugs. OR
5. A qualification as a Pharmacist in Ayurvedic (including Siddha) or Unani systems of medicine, possessing a minimum of eight years of experience in the manufacture of Ayurvedic, Siddha, or Unani drugs as recognized by the Central Government.

Duties:

1. Ensure production activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Act.
2. Perform quality checks on the products currently manufactured and make necessary qualitative changes if required to maximize the value addition of secondary forest products.
3. Develop new patents and proprietary products and obtain approval for their production and sale.
4. Prepare herbal medicines and obtain approval for their production and sale.
5. Assist in the production of approved Ayurvedic herbs.
6. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the production area, providing training to workers as necessary.
7. Coordinate with food and drug regulatory systems, including offices in Gandhinagar, for production licenses and related work.
8. Provide training to employees in the manufacturing unit as required.
9. Provide guidance on the purchase of new machines and equipment for manufacturing existing and new products.
10. Take necessary steps to maintain product quality during the manufacturing process, including standardization and collection of standard samples.
11. Maintain all records related to the products.

Experience: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes/Scheduled Castes and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes will have a relaxation of 3 years in the required experience. The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing in a recognized Ayurvedic Pharmacy.

Qualification: The above-mentioned qualifications should be passed with a minimum of 50% marks.

Preference: Candidates with experience in Co-operative Pharmacy, Limited Companies, and Corporations will be given preference.

Knowledge Requirements:

• Commuter: Basic knowledge of commuter systems is required.
• Language: Knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, and Sanskrit languages is required.
