The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. IPC is responsible for updating the Indian Pharmacopoeia, publishing the National Formulary of India, certifying reference substances, and overseeing the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI).

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate on a contractual basis at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh, under the Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) Monitoring Centres of PvPI.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate
  • Location: Department of Pharmacology, AIIMS Rishikesh, Uttarakhand – 249201
  • Number of Vacancies: 01
  • Employment Type: Contractual
  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 28 years

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must possess one of the following degrees from a recognized university/institute:

  • Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, or Clinical Research
  • Pharm.D/MBBS/BDS

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience in drug safety or pharmacovigilance

Salary:

  • ₹26,250/- per month

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ADR Data Collection: Collect and document Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reports.
  2. ICSR Processing: Process Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and manage them in the VigiFlow database.
  3. Review & Analysis: Conduct quality, clinical, and statistical reviews of ICSRs in the Drug Safety database.
  4. Other Duties: Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Competent Authority.
