Position Overview

Post: Assistant Professor – Pharmaceutics

Scale of Pay: As per Pay Matrix Level-10
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years (relaxable as per government norms)

Educational Qualifications

Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics specialization) with First Class or equivalent in any one of the two degrees.

• Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Marathi.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Pharmaceutics with innovative pedagogical approaches.

• Engage in research, formulation development, and academic guidance in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

• Contribute to curriculum development, student mentorship, and institutional committees.

• Ensure adherence to academic, professional, and regulatory standards as per PCI and UGC norms.

• Participate in outreach activities, workshops, and conferences that enhance institutional visibility.

General Instructions for Applicants

1. Candidates must read the detailed instructions available on the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) website before filling out the online application.

2. If suitable candidates with knowledge of Konkani are not available, the GPSC may recommend a candidate otherwise found fit. The Government may relax the Konkani requirement for Group ‘A’ posts in professional colleges.

3. Possession of minimum educational qualifications does not automatically guarantee an interview call. Shortlisting will be done as per the Commission’s criteria.

Application Fee Payment

a) Online Mode:

• Make payment online and download the e-receipt showing successful status.

b) Offline Mode:

• Generate e-challan, make a cash payment at any SBI branch in Goa before the last date.

• Ensure the bank stamp is affixed on the challan and submit it to the Commission’s office.

Note:

• Applications with late or incomplete fee payments will be summarily rejected.

• After successful payment, candidates can download the filled application form.

• No refund will be made for late or invalid payments.

Communication

• Provide a valid email ID and mobile number in the application form.

• All correspondence from the Commission, including interview updates or notices, will be sent via the registered email/mobile number.

• Candidates are advised to regularly check their emails, messages, and the Commission’s website for updates.
