Post: Pharmacist – 01 UR

Position: Non-Teaching

Pay Scale: Pay Level – 5

Age Limit for Direct Recruitment: Up to 30 years

Educational and Other Qualifications:

  • Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution. OR
  • Essential: 10+2 plus 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy.

    1. If you have already applied for a previous advertisement, you do not need to apply again. Your previous application will be considered based on the eligibility mentioned in that application. However, if you want to apply for a different post than the one you previously applied for, you need to submit a fresh application.
    2. Each post requires a separate application form. You can find the application form on the Institute’s website (www.vpci.org.in).
    3. Before filling the application form, carefully read and understand the advertisement available on the Institute’s website to confirm your eligibility based on qualifications, experience, age, etc.
    4. The Institute will process the application based on the information and documents provided by the candidates. If any information/documents are found to be false or incorrect, the applicant will be solely responsible, and their application may be rejected.
    5. Candidates should possess the prescribed educational qualification and experience before filling the form or as of the last date mentioned in the advertisement. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure their eligibility. If it is later found that the candidate was not eligible, their candidature/appointment may be canceled/terminated.
    6. Interviews are discontinued for recruitment to Group ‘C’, Group ‘D’, and non-gazetted Group ‘B’ category posts, as per the directives of the University of Delhi.
    7. All posts, except for the Nursing Officer, will be filled based on the Recruitment Rules of the University of Delhi. The qualifications and service conditions will be as prescribed by the University.
    8. The upper age limit for direct recruitment can be relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government instructions applicable to Central Government establishments.
    9. The upper age limit for direct recruits can be relaxed for candidates with at least three years of regular service in government departments/statutory bodies/autonomous bodies/universities/PSUs.
    10. The upper age limit may not be insisted upon for departmental candidates of the University/College(s) and those already working on a contract/daily wages/ad-hoc basis, provided they have served for at least one year.
    11. Applicants should not exceed the upper age limit mentioned in the advertisement, even after relaxation, on the date of the advertisement.
    12. For Direct Recruitment, there will be a relaxation of 5% in the minimum qualifying education qualification for applicants belonging to reserved categories, as per government instructions.
    13. Matters not specified in the rules will be governed by the relevant acts, statutes, ordinances, decisions/regulations issued by the VPCI/Government of India.
    14. Applicants serving in government/public sector undertakings (including boards/autonomous bodies) must submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer, indicating vigilance clearance.
    15. The application fee is Rs. 500/- for UR/OBC/EWS candidates, payable via a demand draft drawn in favor of “Director, VPCI” and payable at Delhi. No fee is applicable for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates. Fees once paid will not be refunded.
    16. Reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD categories will be applicable as per Central Government norms. Applicants must submit the necessary documents justifying their reservation claim. Disability certificates for PwBD candidates should indicate a disability of at least 40%.
    17. Only applications submitted in the prescribed format will be accepted.
    18. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
    19. Applications that do not meet the criteria or are incomplete may be rejected at any stage.
    20. The Institute will not be responsible for any delay or loss of application due to postal or technical reasons.
    21. Candidates called for written tests and skill tests will have to bear their own expenses. No TA/DA will be provided.

      Additional note:

      a. Interested candidates should apply using the prescribed application form. The form should be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of Rs. 500/- (except for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates). The fee should be paid through a Nationalized Bank Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Director, VPCI” and payable at Delhi. Applications can be submitted in person, by registered post, or by speed post on working days between 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM. The application form and other details can also be downloaded from the website www.vpcf.org.in. The completed application form should be submitted to the Deputy Registrar, V.P. Chest Institute, University of Delhi, North Campus, Delhi-110 007.

      b. Applicants who have already applied for the previous advertisements mentioned in the note (davp 17169/11/0018/2021 and subsequent corrigendum davp 17169/11/0011/2122) do not need to apply again. Their applications will be considered based on the eligibility mentioned in their previous applications. However, if they want to apply for a different post, they should submit a fresh application.

      c. The last date for submitting the completed application form is 30 days from the date of the advertisement in the Employment News. If the 30th day falls on a holiday, the next working day will be considered the last date of submission.

      d. Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Persons with Disabilities candidates will be provided as per rules. The reservation certificate should be in the prescribed format of the Government of India.

      e. A separate application is required for each post.

      f. All the mentioned posts carry benefits such as DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), TA (Transport Allowance), etc., as per the rules of the University of Delhi/Institute.

      g. The Institute reserves the right to increase, decrease, or not fill the above-mentioned posts based on the circumstances.
