Job Description
As a Manager, Patient Safety Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of AstraZeneca’s established products. You will be responsible for pharmacovigilance activities, periodic report production, signal detection, and regulatory documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveillance activities, including periodic report production, monthly signal detection, and SIRC activities.
- Provide strategic input and oversight for regulatory documents such as PBRERs, PSURs, and DSURs.
- Respond promptly to safety-related queries with high-quality data.
- Identify and analyze relevant data sources for signal evaluation.
- Lead the Safety Strategy and Management Team (SSaMT) for established products.
- Perform comprehensive pharmacovigilance activities independently.
- Ensure compliance with global and local patient safety policies and regulatory obligations.
- Support responses to regulatory authority queries and submissions.
- Provide strategic and scientific input for safety-related discussions.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure product safety compliance.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Biosciences or an equivalent background in healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in Patient Safety (Pharmacovigilance) with proven delivery.
- Total experience of 7 to 10 years in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- In-depth knowledge of EU Patient Safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Awareness of patient safety policies, medico-legal aspects, and industry best practices.

- Adaptability to different disease and therapeutic areas.
