The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) is inviting online applications for 10 Pharmacist vacancies under the Jail Department (Group ‘C’) through direct recruitment. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 42 years
• Age relaxation as per Uttarakhand Government rules:
  • SC/ST/OBC (Uttarakhand): 5 years
  • PwD (Uttarakhand): 10 years
  • Freedom Fighter Dependents: 5 years
  • Ex-servicemen: Age deduction equivalent to service tenure + 3 years
• Crucial Date for Age Calculation: 1st July 2025

Educational Qualification

Mandatory Qualifications:

1. Passed Intermediate Examination from Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttarakhand, with Biology or Mathematics OR equivalent recognized qualification.
2. Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
3. Registered with State Pharmacy Council, Uttarakhand.
4. Working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with the following will be given preference:

1. Territorial Army Service (minimum 2 years).
2. B or C Certificate from the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Nationality

A candidate must be:

• A citizen of India, OR
• A Tibetan refugee (who migrated before 1st January 1962), OR
• A person of Indian origin from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, or Zanzibar (subject to an eligibility certificate issued by the State Government).

Character Requirement

The candidate must have a good character suitable for Government service. Candidates dismissed by the Union/State Government or any local authority are ineligible. Persons convicted of moral turpitude offenses are also ineligible.
