The specific responsibilities and qualifications may vary depending on the research project and the level of experience of the candidate.<\/p><div class=\"pharm-content\" id=\"pharm-923034650\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8402705006112223\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8402705006112223\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"7652789694\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Junior\/Senior Research Fellow (JRF\/SRF) position is available to work on a research project sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Title of the project :<\/strong>The project aims to develop epigenetic modulators as a therapy for cognitive deficits associated with psychosis using novel selective histone deacetylase-3 inhibitors. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Balaram Ghosh (Principal Investigator) and Prof. Onkar Kulkarni (Co-Principal Investigator) and will be expected to contribute to the research objectives and goals of the project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration of Project : <\/strong>The position is full-time and is expected to last for a duration of 3 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fellowship amount : <\/strong>The fellowship amount for the Junior\/Senior Research Fellow (JRF\/SRF) position is as per the norms set by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), which is a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility requirements : <\/strong>To be eligible for the position, a candidate must have a M.Pharm in Medicinal\/Pharmaceutical Chemistry or a M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry. Possession of GPAT\/NET\/GATE qualification is preferable, but not mandatory. Candidates with hands-on experience in multi-step organic synthesis will be given preference. The eligibility requirements indicate that the ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in medicinal\/pharmaceutical chemistry or organic chemistry, as well as relevant laboratory experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates who are interested in the Junior\/Senior Research Fellow (JRF\/SRF) position and meet the eligibility requirements mentioned above should send their CV to Prof. Balaram Ghosh, the Principal Investigator, via email at <a href=\"mailto:balaram@hyderabad.bits-pilani.ac.in\">balaram@hyderabad.bits-pilani.ac.in<\/a> on or before 24\/02\/2023. Only suitable candidates will be called for an interview, which will be held at BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus in the last week of February 2023. No TA\/DA will be paid for the interview.
