It falls under the umbrella of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) and has been established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The primary objective of AIIMS, Kalyani, is to address the regional imbalance in providing high-quality tertiary level healthcare services in the country.
