About ECHS

ECHS stands for the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme. It is a healthcare scheme in India that provides medical facilities to retired armed forces personnel and their dependents. The scheme was established to address the healthcare needs of ex-servicemen and their families by offering a comprehensive range of medical services.

Under ECHS, eligible individuals can avail of medical services at empaneled hospitals and clinics across the country. The scheme is contributory in nature, meaning that beneficiaries contribute a nominal amount to avail of the health services.
