Job Opportunity: Pharmacist at State Drug Stores, Visakhapatnam

Department: National TB Elimination Program, National Health Mission, Andhra Pradesh

Essential Qualification/Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized university

Preferential Qualification:

  • One year experience in managing drug store in a reputed hospital/health center recognized by Govt
  • Proficiency in various computer programming including MS Word, Excel & simple statistical packages.

Job Specification/Responsibilities:

  1. Handling day-to-day communications related to drug logistics.
  2. Maintaining registers, vouchers, receipts, payment records, physical verification reports, and maintenance records.
  3. Recording and reporting drugs & lab consumables in Nikshay Aushadhi software.
  4. Monitoring and analyzing drugs & lab consumables at DDS and sub-levels.
  5. Maintaining district-level drug stock as per Program guidelines.
  6. Implementing “First Expiry First Out” principle at district and sub-level stores.
  7. Facilitating change management for ICT & Nikshay tools usage for data entry and validation.
  8. Assisting District TB Officer in providing drug logistics training.
  9. Analyzing drugs and logistics reports through Nikshay Aushadhi.
  10. Conducting supervisory visits to sub-stores and reporting to District TB Officer.
  11. Reviewing Nikshay Aushadhi performance at sub-levels.
  12. Holding review meetings with TUs & PHIs.
  13. Preparing monthly patient-wise boxes of second-line drugs.
  14. Monitoring store temperature where 2nd line drugs are stored and suggesting storage improvements.
  15. Maintaining computer and peripherals in the District Drug Store.
  16. Undertaking any other assigned tasks as per Program requirements.

Monthly Salary: Rs. 23,393/-

Recruitment Process:

The recruitment process will be conducted by the committee appointed by the Commissioner of Health & Family Welfare.

Appointment Duration:

Appointments will be initially for a period of one year.
