Job Title: Sr. Research Associate / Assistant Scientist – CMC (Analytical)

Job Description: As a Sr. Research Associate / Assistant Scientist in the CMC (Analytical) function, you will play a crucial role as an individual contributor to achieve timely CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) and R&D objectives. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around analytical method development, validation, and support for formulation development and optimization. You will work in compliance with Ferring’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure the highest standards of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analytical Method Development: Contribute to the development and pre-validation of analytical methods for assigned projects.
  2. Analytical Support for Formulation: Provide analytical support for formulation development, optimization, and scale-up processes as required.
  3. Analytical Method Validation and Transfer: Participate in method validation and method transfer activities for the assigned projects.
  4. Specification and Protocol Preparation: Create and update specifications, Standard Testing Procedures (STPs), analytical protocols, and reports for assigned projects.
  5. Stability Study Management: Take charge of managing stability study-related activities for the projects you are assigned to.
  6. Outside Analysis Coordination: Coordinate routine and characterisation tests with external laboratories and review reports for assigned projects.
  7. Literature Search: Conduct literature searches to gather relevant analytical and regulatory information related to the assigned project.
  8. Experiment and Data Review: Review Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) experiments, data, reports, and documents generated within the laboratory and received from external sources like Contract Research Organizations (CROs) or Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
  9. Procurement Activities: Handle procurement activities related to projects and the analytical laboratory, including vendor communication, obtaining quotes, User Requirement Specifications (URS), and coordinating with Coupa (procurement platform).
  10. Instrument and Equipment Management: Coordinate with facility/vendors for the maintenance (AM, PM, and regular) of instruments and equipment in the Analytical lab.

Candidate Profile:

  • Educational Background: You should have an M.Pharma or M.Sc in Pharma Chemistry.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 to 11 years of experience in analytical development of formulations is required.
  • Specific Expertise: You should have experience working with complex injectables, hydrogels, large molecules, peptides, etc.
