Executive – Production

Job Description:


  • Execute the daily scheduled plan.
  • Responsible for shift operations and meeting shift outputs.
  • Maintain inventories and spares related to all equipment in Packing.
  • Ensure cleanliness and smooth operations of equipment, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
  • Ensure maintenance of premises and equipment in the Packing section.
  • Ensure hygiene standards for the plant and personnel.
  • Perform in-process checks as per SOP/BPR.
  • Report non-compliance to HOD/QA immediately.
  • Conduct BPR reconciliation.
  • Daily and periodic calibration of equipment (Internal and external).
  • Take overall responsibility for the assigned area and production line.

Manpower Management:

  • Instruct and guide manpower based on SOPs.
  • Provide training to all personnel involved in Packing.
  • Allocate work on a shift-by-shift basis.


  • Adhere to all cGMP, cGXP, or related requirements.
  • Ensure Zero loss workday cases and achieve targeted numbers for BBS observation and unsafe condition reporting.
  • Complete training on relevant SOPs for Packing.
  • Ensure all CAPAs are in place.
  • Ensure correctness of online documentation (equipment logs, batch records, environmental monitoring, etc.).
  • Handle products according to Batch Manufacturing records.
  • Conduct in-process checks to ensure quality parameters are within targeted norms.
  • Perform line clearance for equipment/area as per SOP.
  • Ensure readiness for internal/external audits.
  • Perform SAP transactions as per defined procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations and compliance.
  • Handle and reconcile stereos as per required SOP.


  • Handle, document, and review BPR and Logbooks as per GDP SOP in Tablet Packing.
  • Prepare and review SOPs based on any new or changed process requirements.
  • Execute documentation related to production and ensure strict implementation as per GDP SOP.

Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence:

  • Report quality concerns or suggestions to seniors.
  • Focus on yield improvements, cost reduction, and reduced process cycle time.
  • Identify regular Kaizens in the Packing section.
  • Suggest upgrades and automation of systems and equipment for the Packing section.
  • Maintain OEE and plant cycle time, identify improvement opportunities, and update HOD with suggestions/improvements.
  • Monitor and improve the yields of the products.

Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate (Pharmacy) with 2 to 3 years of experience in Managing Packing operations in a Pharmaceutical company.
  • Domain Knowledge: Schedule M, cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice), 21 CFR.
  • Potential to handle Manpower in Packing Function (2 to 3 years).
