The Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) was established on June 14, 2010, through Ordinance number 44/2010 and later Act 3/2011 by the Government of Kerala. The university is a culmination of persistent efforts and a long-standing vision that began in the mid-nineties. Its formation was driven by a genuine desire to enhance activities in the animal production sector and expand academic opportunities, applied research, and entrepreneurship in the realms of animal health, production, and related subjects. The recognition of the growing importance of these fields prompted the establishment of KVASU to address the evolving needs of the industry and academia.
