The National Institute of Immunohaematology (ICMRNIIH) was founded in 1957 with the mission of conducting multidisciplinary research on immunohaematology, providing diagnostic services, training medical and nonmedical professionals in the fields of genetics, immunology, and haematology, and promoting public awareness of haematological disorders.

The ICMR-National Institute of Immunohaematology is currently accepting applications for various vacancies, including research positions, diagnostic services, training, and awareness programs related to haematological disorders. Job Title: Project Scientist

Emoluments: Rs. 56,000 + 24% HRA

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Applied Biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Life Sciences / Immunology / Virology

Desirable Qualification:

• Experience in assessing capsid and neutralizing antibodies and T cell responses
• Flow cytometry
• RNA sequencing

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 40 years.

Duration: The project is up to February 2027.

Job Title: Senior Project Associate

Emoluments: The salary for this position is INR 42000 per month along with a 24% House Rent Allowance (HRA).

Essential Qualification: The candidate must have an M.Sc. degree and four years of relevant research experience after post-graduation, or a Ph.D. degree in Applied Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Immunology/Virology.

Desirable Qualification:

• Experience in assessing capsid and neutralizing antibodies and T cell responses
• Expertise in Flow cytometry
• Proficiency in RNA sequencing

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for the candidate is 40 years.

Duration: The position is available until February 2027.

The recruitment procedure is as follows:

3. Candidates who have been shortlisted for the interview will have to make their own arrangements for video call/video-conferencing facilities for the online interview. The link for the interview will be sent to the shortlisted candidates.
4. Selected candidates will be informed through email/phone and will be required to bring all the necessary documents mentioned above in original for verification at the time of appointment.

These are the terms and conditions for the temporary contract positions available at NIIH:

1. The positions are temporary and on a contract basis.
2. The Director & Appointing Authority reserves the right to reject any application without providing any reasons. No correspondence will be entertained in this matter.
3. Age and qualifications will be considered as of the date of the written test or interview.
4. The appointment can be terminated with one month’s notice from either side without providing any reason.
5. The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment at NIIH or continuation of their services in any other project since the posts are temporary.
6. Other allowances like CCA, LTC, Medical Claim, and PF are not applicable.
7. The recruited project staff will be eligible for leave as per project recruitment rules and will have to give an undertaking before joining.
8. The candidates must bring all original certificates of educational qualifications, experience, Aadhaar Card, Community, and PH certificates (if applicable), passport-size photograph along with one set of photocopies of the certificates duly attested (can be self-attested) for verification.
9. The conditions of employment will be the same as that of the project staff on a contract basis.
