Opportunity for Doctoral Degree in Pharma at NIRRCH 

The National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH) is indeed a premier research institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) located in Mumbai, India. It was initially established in 1970 as the Institute for Research in Reproduction and was later renamed in 2005 to its current name.

NIRRH focuses on conducting research in reproductive health, including maternal and child health, contraception, infertility, sexually transmitted infections, and reproductive cancers. It also provides training and education to health professionals and offers clinical services to the community.

Job Description: The Senior Project Associate will be responsible for supporting the research activities related to the project on Pediatric Rare Genetic Disorders. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conducting experiments, analyzing data, preparing reports, and assisting the project team in achieving project objectives.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The candidate should have a Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field from a recognized university.
2. The candidate should have at least four years of research experience in the relevant field.
3. The candidate should have experience in handling and analyzing large datasets.
4. The candidate should have experience in conducting experiments and using laboratory equipment.
5. The candidate should have experience in scientific writing and report preparation.
6. The candidate should have knowledge of computer applications and data analysis software.

   These are the general instructions for candidates applying for the Senior Project Associate position:

   1. Age relaxation will be applicable to SC/ST/OBC candidates for posts reserved for their respective categories, as per Government of India rules.
   2. The candidate’s qualification/degree must be from a reputed institution/university.
   3. Meeting the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee selection.
   4. Any form of canvassing will disqualify the candidate.
   5. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining the post.
   6. Individuals already working in regular time scale service under any Government Department/Organizations are not eligible to apply.
   7. If required, a written test will be conducted in the subject area to shortlist candidates for the interview based on the number of candidates.
   8. Incomplete applications, applications not submitted in the prescribed format, and applications without requested supporting documents will be rejected.
   9. The Director & appointing authority reserves the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason, and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
   10. The candidate should provide the contact details of two responsible persons from their locality or two references to whom they are known.
   11. If the candidate is found to be ineligible at any stage of the recruitment process, their candidature will be cancelled.
   12. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the online/physical interview, and details of the interview will be communicated to them by mail.
   13. The above posts are filled up purely on a contractual basis, and the candidate will have no right to claim permanent employment under ICMR-NIRRCH or continuation of their services in any other project.
   14. Candidates interviewed online must produce their original qualification, age, and experience documents before joining. If they are found ineligible, their selection will be cancelled immediately.
   15. The Institute does not provide residential facilities for contractual staff.
