Job Post: Drug Safety Analyst – Literature Specialist

Job Description

  1. Oversee the execution and implementation of data acquisition and management processes that support pharmacovigilance activities.
  2. Develop and execute optimal search strategies on biomedical databases and content aggregator platforms.
  3. Possess in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including product terminology, drug nomenclature, and drug class hierarchies.
  4. Understand medical terminologies and search syntax for leading search databases and platforms, such as OVID, Embase, Medline, and PubMed.
  5. Perform comprehensive reviews and analyses of scientific literature to support health agency requests and product submissions.
  6. Maintain awareness and understanding of relevant technologies that could enhance content acquisition processes.
  7. Manage and interact with external vendors, including content partners.
  8. Collaborate with inter- and intra-team members to meet end-to-end process requirements and business objectives.
  9. Demonstrate an innovative mindset to drive efficiencies and develop solutions that address process and customer needs.
  10. Exhibit high learning agility to adopt and implement the latest tools and technologies.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualifications: PhD, PharmD, M.Pharm, B.Pharm, BDS, B.Tech/M.Tech (Life Sciences), M.Sc./B.Sc. (Life Sciences)
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in pharmacovigilance with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in creating and executing search strategies on bibliographic databases and libraries.

Skills

  • Proficient knowledge of bibliographic datasets and content libraries.
  • Hands-on experience setting up searches on OVID, EMBASE, and MEDLINE.
  • Proven ability to conduct scientific literature searches using pharmaceutical databases and resources.
