The Assam Rifles, India’s oldest paramilitary force, is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the position of Pharmacist under the Technical and Tradesman Recruitment Rally 2025. This rally aims to fill 215 vacancies across various trades, including 08 posts for Pharmacists.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following academic requirements:

  • 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution (Central or State Government).
  • The program must include:
    • Two years of training followed by an internship.
    • 500 hours of practical training, spread over at least three months.
    • At least 250 hours of dispensing prescriptions.
  • Registration under Section 33 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 is mandatory.

Age Limit

  • 20 to 25 years (as of January 1, 2025).
  • Age relaxation available as per government norms:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: Up to 8 years based on category and service duration.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of:

  1. Physical Standard Test (PST)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Written Examination
  4. Trade Test (if applicable)
  5. Medical Examination
  6. Document Verification
