About CCRAS

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, with its headquarters in New Delhi. The Council operates through a network of 30 institutes across the country, dedicated to advancing Ayurvedic research and healthcare.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Group B & Group C posts on a direct recruitment basis.

Vacancy Details

Pharmacist (Grade-I) – Group C

• No. of Posts: 12 (SC–1, ST–2 [Backlog], OBC–3, EWS–1, UR–5)

• Pay Matrix: Level 5 (₹29,200 – ₹92,300)

• Age Limit: Up to 27 years

• Qualification:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy / D.Pharm (Ay.) with 2 years’ experience in a recognized Ayurvedic hospital OR

  • B.Pharm (Ay.)

Assistant Research Officer (Pharmacology) – Group B

• No. of Posts: 04 (SC–1, EWS–1, UR–2)

• Pay Matrix: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)

• Age Limit: Up to 30 years

• Qualification:

  • M.Pharm (Pharmacology) / M.Pharm (Ay.) / M.Sc. (Medicinal Plant with specialization in Pharmacology)

  • 1 year post-PG experience

Research Assistant (Chemistry) – Group C

• No. of Posts: 05 (ST–1, OBC–1, EWS–1, UR–2)

• Pay Matrix: Level 6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)

• Age Limit: Up to 30 years

• Qualification:

  • PG Degree in Chemistry / M.Pharm (Ay. Quality Control) / M.Sc. (Medicinal Plant with Pharmaceutical Analysis specialization)

Research Assistant (Botany) – Group C

• No. of Posts: 05 (SC–1, OBC–1, EWS–1, UR–2)

• Pay Matrix: Level 6

• Age Limit: Up to 30 years

• Qualification:

  • PG Degree in Botany / M.Sc. (Medicinal Plants)

Research Assistant (Pharmacology) – Group C

• No. of Posts: 01 (UR)

• Pay Matrix: Level 6

• Age Limit: Up to 30 years

• Qualification:

  • M.Pharm (Pharmacology) / M.Pharm (Ay.) / M.Sc. (Medicinal Plant with specialization in Pharmacology)

Research Assistant (Organic Chemistry) – Group C

• No. of Posts: 01 (UR)

• Pay Matrix: Level 6

• Age Limit: Up to 30 years

• Qualification:

  • PG Degree in Chemistry with specialization in Organic Chemistry

Research Assistant (Garden) – Group C

• No. of Posts: 01 (OBC)

• Pay Matrix: Level 5 (₹29,200 – ₹92,300)

• Age Limit: Up to 30 years

• Qualification:

  • PG Degree in Botany / Medicinal Plants (Pharmacognosy)

Research Assistant (Pharmacy) – Group C

• No. of Posts: 01 (UR)

• Pay Matrix: Level 5

• Age Limit: Up to 30 years

• Qualification:

  • M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Science/Quality Assurance/Ayurveda)

Selection Process

• Group A posts: Computer-Based Test (CBT – 70 marks) + Interview (30 marks).

• Group B & Group C posts: Selection based on CBT only (100 marks).

• CBT will be bilingual (English & Hindi) with negative marking (0.25 per wrong answer).

• Tie-breaking rules and normalization methodology will apply as per CCRAS recruitment guidelines.

Application Fee

• Group B: Processing Fee ₹200 + Exam Fee ₹500 (for UR/OBC).

• Group C: Processing Fee ₹100 + Exam Fee ₹200 (for UR/OBC).

• Exempted: SC/ST/PwD/EWS/Women/Ex-Servicemen (only processing fee applicable).

• Payment must be made online through SBIePay/Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card/UPI.

Important Dates

• Closing Date for Online Application & Fee Payment: 22nd September 2025 (11:59 PM)

• Modification Window: 25th September 2025 (10:00 AM) to 27th September 2025 (11:59 PM)

General Instructions

• All posts are temporary but likely to continue. Appointees will be governed by NPS/UPS as applicable.

• Candidates must be willing to serve at any CCRAS institute across India.

• Applications must be submitted online only; no offline submissions will be accepted.

• Probation period: 2 years (extendable as per rules).

• Relaxations in age/eligibility will be applicable as per Government of India norms.

• Final selection will depend on merit position in CBT/interview (as applicable).
