Job Title: Pharmacist (ART Centre)

• Number of Posts: 01

• Location: ART Centre, Civil Hospital Ahilyanagar

• Type of Appointment: Contractual (initially for 3 months, extendable based on performance)

• Age Limit: Maximum 60 years (continuation up to 62 years for contractual service)

• Monthly Remuneration: ₹21,000 (consolidated, no TA/DA/HRA admissible)

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification:

  • Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institute, OR

  • Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 3 years of healthcare experience.

• Must be registered with the concerned State Pharmacy Council.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Pharmacist at the ART Centre, the selected candidate will:

1. Dispense ARV and OI drugs with proper counseling.

2. Educate patients and families on the importance of adherence at each visit.

3. Counsel patients regarding possible drug toxicities and report significant cases.

4. Conduct pill counts, track adverse effects, and confirm follow-up visit schedules.

5. Maintain a “Daily Due” list of scheduled patients and share MIS data with counselors.

6. Oversee proper storage and maintenance of drug stock.

7. Update dispensing and stock registers daily and report discrepancies.

8. Ensure availability of ARV drugs for at least 3 months, following FEFO protocols.

9. Perform physical verification of stock under SMO and Nodal Officer supervision.

10. Facilitate ARV drug supply to LACs based on linked patient numbers.

11. Undertake additional duties as assigned by ART Centre in-charge.
