About ECHS

The ECHS (Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme) Central Organisation is situated in Delhi and operates under the Chief of Staff Committee (COSC) through the AG (Adjutant General) and DGDC&W (Director General of the Department of the Directorate of Indian Army Veterans). The central organization is led by the Managing Director, ECHS, who is a serving Major General. There are 28 Regional Centres ECHS and 426 ECHS Polyclinics across the country.

ECHS functions as an attached office of the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DoESW) under the Ministry of Defence (MoD), along with other entities such as the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) and Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB). The ECHS plays a crucial role in providing healthcare services to ex-servicemen and their dependents, ensuring their well-being and medical needs are addressed.

Opportunity at ECHS Polyclinic, Thanjavur

ECHS (Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme) is seeking applications for the position of Pharmacist on a contractual basis at ECHS Polyclinic, Thanjavur. This opportunity is available for a period of one year for Ex-Servicemen (ESMs) and 11 months for civilian candidates.

Minimum Qualification:

B Pharmacy from a recognized Institute
Or 10+2 with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) from a recognized Board
Approved Diploma in Pharmacy from an Institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India
Registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948
Minimum 3 years of work experience

Candidates should bring all original certificates/mark sheets/degrees, work experience documents, discharge book, PPO, service records, and two passport size color photographs for the interview.
