About University of Jammu Kashmir

The University of Kashmir was established in 1948. However, in 1969, it underwent a significant change when it split into two separate entities: the University of Kashmir in Srinagar and the University of Jammu in Jammu. The University of Kashmir is located in Hazratbal, Srinagar, nestled between the renowned Dal Lake to its east and Nigeen Lake to its west. Its main campus, covering 247 acres, is divided into three sections: Hazratbal Campus, Naseem Bagh Campus, and Mirza Bagh Campus, which serves residential purposes. Additionally, the university has acquired more land at Zakura near the main campus for future expansion.

ONLINE Applications Invited for University of Jammu Positions

Post: Pharmacist

Number of Positions: Main Campus = 01 (UR)

Pay Level & Matrix: Level-4 (25500-81100) as per 7th pay scale

Qualification: 10+2 with Diploma from State Medical Faculty or Diploma in Pharmacy with 5 years of experience

General Instructions:

  1. Applicants must produce a printout of the completed ONLINE application form (Hardcopy), duly self-attested along with supporting documents during skill tests/trade tests/computer tests/interviews, etc., failing which they will not be allowed to participate further in the selection process.
  2. Retain a printout of the completed online application (Hardcopy) form for future reference.
  3. Candidates applying for the positions must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and should upload the Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format.
  4. Horizontal reservation will be granted as per norms.
  5. Age as of 01/01/2024:
    • Minimum for all candidates: 18 years
    • Maximum: a) General Candidates: 40 years b) Socially and Educationally backward classes: 43 years c) Physically challenged candidates: 42 years d) Government Service/Contractual employees: 40 years e) Ex-Serviceman: As per deduction rules.
  6. Candidates must carefully read the minimum essential qualifications and experience criteria before applying. False or wrong information will lead to rejection of candidature.
  7. Application once submitted cannot be altered/resubmitted. No request for changes in data will be entertained once submitted successfully.
  8. A fee of Rs 1070/- must be paid through the recruitment portal payment gateway. The fee once paid will not be refunded or re-adjusted under any circumstances.
  9. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email or on the University website. Check the website regularly for updates.
  10. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
  11. Disputes will be resolved according to the University’s decision.
  12. Government servants must route their applications through the proper channels and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer.
  13. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
  14. For technical support during the submission of the online application form, contact the creation and recruitment section.
  15. Selected candidates will be placed on probation as per the selection committee’s recommendation.
  16. Terms and conditions of appointment will be governed by relevant laws.
  17. Candidates invited for tests/interviews must bear their expenses.
  18. Impersonation or submission of false documents will lead to severe consequences.
  19. The University reserves the right to fill or not fill any advertised posts.
  20. Original documents must be produced during the interview or before joining.
  21. Any corrigendum/addendum will be published on the University website.
  22. Vacancy numbers are tentative and subject to change.
  23. Selection criteria and entrance test scheme will be notified separately.
  24. If the Degree Certificate is not available, candidates may upload the Provisional Degree/Final Semester Mark sheet.
