BFUHS invites online applications from eligible candidates for the following tenure-based positions at the University Centre of Excellence of Research:

• Nodal Officer/HoD/Faculty – 15 Posts

• Research Officer – 15 Posts

Specific Openings in Biotechnology

1. Faculty (Biotechnology Discipline)

Qualification (Entry-level):

• M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Bioinformatics / Life Sciences or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years of teaching or research experience

• Desirable: Ph.D. in relevant subject and publications in national/international indexed journals

2. Research Officer (Biotechnology Discipline)

Qualification (Entry-level):

• MD/MS/DNB/MDS/M.Pharm/MBBS/BDS/BAMS/M.Sc. in Clinical Research, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent from a recognized institution

• Desirable: Experience in relevant field and publications in national/international indexed journals

3. Assistant Professor (Phytomedicine and Related Areas)

Qualification:

• M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Bioinformatics / Pharmacology / Botanical Sciences / Medicinal Plants OR

• M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy / Medicinal Plants / Herbal Drugs

• At least 15 publications in national/international journals and 15 years of teaching/research experience in relevant fields
  OR

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Pharmacology / Pharmacognosy / Life Sciences / Medicinal Plants / Herbal Drugs with at least 2 years of relevant teaching/research experience and publications

Desirable: Proven track record in Phytomedicine or related areas

Pay Scale

Pay as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Levels 9, 10, 11, 12), applicable as per Finance Department, Govt. of Punjab. Final pay and qualifications/experience will be updated in subsequent notices on the official website.

General Terms and Conditions

1. Application Fee:

   • General: ₹2360 (incl. GST)

   • SC Category: ₹1180 (incl. GST)

2. Age Limit:

   • As of 01.01.2025, per University and Punjab Govt. norms (relaxations as applicable)

3. Required Documents:

   • Self-attested copies of educational qualifications, DOB, category certificate (if any), residence proof, experience, publications, and fee receipt

4. Submission of Application:

   • Submit hard copy of the online application along with required documents to the Registrar, BFUHS, Sadiq Road, Faridkot by 22.07.2025

5. Other Instructions:

   • Incomplete/late applications or those without fee will be rejected

   • Candidates in service must apply through proper channel

   • Separate applications required for each post

   • Knowledge of Punjabi up to matriculation or equivalent is required (to be obtained within 6 months of joining if not already possessed)
