About G.M.N.P.A.

The Gujarat Urban Health Project at Gandhinagar Mahanagarpalika (G.M.N.P.A.) is an initiative by the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of Gujarat aimed at streamlining urban health services. The project is being implemented on a temporary basis with 100% grant funding from the Government of Gujarat. Online applications are being invited from candidates for the filling of Class-II and Class-III posts, as detailed in the table below.

Class-III posts will be filled on a fixed salary basis and will be purely temporary in nature. Interested candidates can apply for these positions on the official website, ojas.gujarat.gov.in, starting from October 21, 2023, at 14:00 hours (2:00 PM). The application window will remain open until November 5, 2023, with the deadline for submissions set at 23:59 hours (11:59 PM).

Educational Qualification and Experience Required at G.M.N.P.A.:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university or institution.
  2. Diploma in Pharmacy with at least two years of experience as a Pharmacist in a Government-owned Board or Corporation, or as a Compounder in a Pharmacy or Hospital, or as a Pharmacist or Medical Representative in a Limited Pharmaceutical Company established under the Companies Act, 2013.
  3. Certificate of Basic Computer Knowledge as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
  4. Proficiency in Hindi and Gujarati language.

Nationality Eligibility:

  • Citizen of India
  • Citizen of Nepal
  • Citizen of Bhutan
  • Tibetan exile who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of settling permanently in India
  • Person of Indian origin who has immigrated from Vietnam to East Pakistan (Bangladesh, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, etc.) with the intention of permanent residence in India.

Age Limit:

  • Age calculated as on the last date of receipt of applications.
  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: As specified in the advertisement.
  • Relaxations available for specific categories.

Exam Fee:

  • General Category (Class-II): Rs. 500
  • General Category (Class-III): Rs. 300
  • Reduced fees for specified categories.
  • Payment should be made online through the OJAS website.
  • Fee is non-refundable and can only be paid online.

Syllabus for Pharmacist Exam (Duration: 1 hour 30 Minutes) at G.M.N.P.A.:

  1. Gujarati Grammar: 10 Marks
  2. English Grammar: 10 Marks
  3. Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning: 10 Marks
  4. Current Affairs of India and Gujarat, Public Administration, General Science: 10 Marks
  5. Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporation Act, 1949: 10 Marks
  6. Store and Accounts in regards to Pharmaceuticals: 15 Marks
  7. Questions related to Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical: 35 Marks Total: 100 Marks
  • Objective type written test with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and O.M.R. (Optical Mark Reader) system.
  • Each correct answer is worth one mark.
  • Incorrect answers will incur a negative mark of 0.25.
  • The option “Not attempted” can be selected to avoid negative marking.
