The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Deputy Director at the Central Drugs Testing Laboratory (CDTL), Mumbai under Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The appointment will be made on deputation (including short-term contract) basis as per the Recruitment Rules (RRs).

- Pay Scale: Level-12 (Rs. 78,800 – Rs. 2,09,200) as per the 7th CPC

Eligibility Criteria
Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract)
Eligible Officers from Central Government/State Governments/UT Administrations/Autonomous Bodies/Statutory Organizations/Public Sector Undertakings/Recognized Universities/Institutions who meet the following criteria:
(a) Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department; OR
(b) Five years of regular service in Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 – Rs. 2,08,700) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre/department.
Educational Qualification
- Essential: Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Bacteriology, Medicine, Microbiology, or Biotechnology from a recognized University or Institute.
- Desirable: Doctorate in any of the above-mentioned disciplines from a recognized University or Institute.
Experience
- Essential: At least eight years of experience in drug testing, standardization, and research.
Additional Information
- Tenure: The period of deputation (including short-term contract) shall not exceed four years.
- Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment shall not exceed 56 years as of the closing date of application submission.
