Government job opportunity as Pharmacists (07 posts) in Sashastra Seema Bal, Ministry of Home Affairs

Website Sashastra Seema Bal

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). It was indeed conceived in November 1962 and formally established in March 1963 with the primary aim of achieving total security preparedness in the remote border areas of India. The SSB was created to perform a “stay-behind” role in the event of a war.

Initially, the SSB was stationed in various regions, including North Assam, North Bengal, hill districts of Uttar Pradesh (now Uttarakhand), Himachal Pradesh, part of Punjab, and the Ladakh area of Jammu and Kashmir. Its formation was driven by concerns about the possibility of another Chinese attack, considering the historical context of the time.

Shri B.N. Mullik served as the first founder Director of the Special Service Bureau and played a pivotal role in leading the force during its early years. Given the circumstances and the potential security threats, the members of Sashastra Seema Bal are dedicated to the motto of service, security, and brotherhood.
