About CMSS
The Central Medical Services Society (CMSS) was established with the approval of the Cabinet on August 24, 2011. It serves as a Central Procurement Agency with the aim of improving the drug procurement and distribution system of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The primary objective is to address existing deficiencies in the system.
The mission of CMSS is to procure high-quality health sector goods in a transparent and cost-effective manner, aligning with the directives of the Government of India. Additionally, CMSS is dedicated to ensuring the timely and uninterrupted supply of health sector goods and services to State Governments and Union Territories.
General Manager (Procurement)-II
- Number of Posts: One (01)
- Recruitment Method: Contractual basis / Deputation
- Emoluments: Rs. 1,50,000/- per month (Consolidated – all inclusive)
- Tenure of Post: Initially 5 years (Renewable yearly, subject to performance)
- Age Limit: Up to 55 years
- Educational Qualification Required at CMSS: Engineering Degree / B.Pharma / MBA
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in relevant sectors, 6 years in core procurement, knowledge of ERP, GFR, public procurement, and Government e-Marketplace
- Probation Period: 6 months
- Annual Increment: 5% based on performance
- Job Responsibilities: Transparent procurement, warehouse monitoring, supplier database, bid document preparation, contract issuance, bid evaluation, grievance redressal, training, e-procurement and ERP updates, market research, technical advice, and other duties as assigned.
General Manager (Quality Assurance)
- Number of Posts: One (01)
- Emoluments: Rs. 1,50,000/- per month (Consolidated – all inclusive)
- Recruitment Method: Contractual basis / Deputation
- Tenure of Post: Initially 5 years (Renewable yearly, subject to performance)
- Age Limit: Up to 55 years
- Educational Qualification Required at CMSS: M.Pharma / M.Sc. (Chemistry) / M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry)
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in relevant sectors, 6 years in Quality Control/Assurance, knowledge of relevant regulations, and Government e-Marketplace
- Probation Period: 6 months
- Annual Increment: 5% based on performance
- Job Responsibilities: Ensuring quality of procured goods, quality assurance through procurement cycle, technical advice, inspection and testing, vendor assessment, empanelment of inspection agencies, supply chain management, e-procurement for quality assurance, and other duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria for General Manager Positions
- Rank: Under Secretary/Deputy Secretary level in Central Government
- Educational Qualification Required at CMSS: Relevant qualifications as specified
- Experience: As specified in the job description
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 55 years for deputation
