About National Ayush Mission

The Ministry of Ayush initiated the Centrally Sponsored Scheme known as the National Ayush Mission (NAM) on September 15, 2014, for implementation through States/UTs. The National Ayush Mission received approval for its continuation until March 2020 by the Cabinet in 2017. Following the Department of Expenditure’s Office Memorandum dated January 10, 2020, the ongoing schemes were granted interim extension until March 31, 2021. The Union Cabinet also sanctioned the operationalization of 12,500 Ayush Health and Wellness Centres (AHWCs) as part of AYUSHMAN BHARAT, to be implemented through the National Ayush Mission. This initiative has a financial outlay of Rs. 3399.35 Crores for a 5-year period, extending up to 2023-24.

Job Overview:

The Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim, is inviting eligible local candidates for a walk-in interview to fill two pharmacist positions under the National AYUSH Mission. The appointment is for a one-year contractual basis at the 50 Bedded AYUSH Hospital, Kyongsha, Gyalshing.

Job Details:

  • Number of Posts: 02 (Ayurveda-1, Homeopathy-1)
  • Consolidated Pay: Rs. 10,000/- per month

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification: Class XII passed with a Diploma in Pharmacy in Ayurveda and Homeopathy from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Age: 18-40 Years

Required Documents:

Applicants must bring the following documents for verification:

  1. Sikkim Subject Certificate/Certificate of Identification
  2. Community Certificate
  3. Valid Employment Card
  4. Birth Proof
  5. Degree from NCISM recognized University along with the Internship Completion Certificate (for the post of Medical Officer)
  6. Registration Certificate with the respective Council (for the post of Medical officer and Staff Nurses)
  7. Diploma in the respective field (for the post of Staff Nurse, Ayurveda pharmacist, Homeopathy pharmacist, Laboratory Technician, and Panchakarma Technician)
  8. Class X, XII passed certificate, and mark sheet.
  9. Minimum Class IV passed mark sheet and certificate (for the post of Masseurs/Panchakarma Attendant and Cook)
  10. Certificate in Hotel Management/Experience Certificate (for the post of Cook)
  11. Experience Certificate (if any)
