About Central Research Institute (CRI)
Founded on May 3, 1905, the Central Research Institute (CRI) is a pioneer in vaccine research and development. CRI has made significant contributions in the field of medical and public health, including vaccine production, research, and human resource development. During World War II, CRI played a crucial role in producing vaccines for the immunization of troops, an achievement of unparalleled significance. The institute continues to be a national referral center for public health concerns.
Eligibility Criteria
For Deputation/Absorption:
Applicants must be officers under the Central or State Governments who:
- Hold an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre; OR
- Have at least eight years of regular service in Level-2 (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200).
Note:
- Qualification requirements may be relaxed by the Central Government in exceptional cases.
- Experience requirements may be relaxed for candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) if sufficient eligible candidates are not available.
For Direct Recruitment:
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Educational Qualification:
- 12th Class pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Qualified Pharmacist as recognized under clause ‘C’ of Section 31 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
- Experience:
- Departmental candidates with the required qualification and eight years of regular service in Level-2 (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200) will also be considered under absorption.
- Deputation period, including time in another ex-cadre post, shall not exceed three years.
Remuneration & Allowances
The selected candidate will receive a salary as per the Level-4 pay scale (Rs. 25,500 – 81,100) along with deputation allowance as per Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) guidelines (O.M. 2/11/2017-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 24.11.2017 and amendments thereafter).
