About the Andaman & Nicobar Islands
The Andaman & Nicobar Islands (ANI), a union territory of India, is situated in the Indian Ocean, to the south of the Bay of Bengal, closer to Indonesia and Thailand. This territory comprises two main island groups – the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands, which are separated by the 10° N parallel. The Andaman Islands lie to the north of this latitude, while the Nicobar Islands are to the south. Port Blair, a town in the Andaman Islands, serves as the capital of this territory. The ANI consists of 836 islands, islets, and rocky outcrops, of which only 38 are permanently inhabited.
Available Positions
Pharmacist (Ayurveda)
- Number of Positions: Two (02)
- Consolidated Pay: Rs. 18,000/- per month
- Essential Qualifications:
- XIIth Std. (Senior School Certificate Examination) with Science subjects from a recognized Board/Institution.
- Degree/Diploma in Homoeopathic Pharmacy or its equivalent with essential subjects like Homoeopathic Pharmacy, Homeopathic Materia Medica, and Organon of Medicine from a recognized University/Institution. OR Certificate Course in Homoeopathic Pharmacy from a recognized institution with a minimum of 03 to 05 years of experience in dispensing Homoeopathic Medicine in a recognized hospital or dispensary.
- Desirable: Experience in dispensing Homoeopathic Medicine.
- Age Criteria: Not above 35 years, relaxable as per norms of A&N Administration.
- Closing Date of Application Submission: 15.07.2024 (by 05.00 PM)
- Date of Skill Test & Interview: 19th July 2024, 10.30 AM onwards in the Chamber of MD (NAM), Secretariat.
Pharmacist (Homoeopathy)
- Number of Positions: One (01)
- Consolidated Pay: Rs. 18,000/- per month
- Essential Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Pharmacy of Ayurveda Medicine from a recognized University/Institution.
- Desirable: Two years of experience as a Pharmacist (Ayurveda) in a recognized teaching institution/manufacturing unit or government hospital.
- Age Criteria: Not above 35 years, relaxable as per norms of A&N Administration.
- Closing Date of Application Submission: 15.07.2024 (by 05.00 PM)
- Date of Skill Test & Interview: 17th July 2024, 11.00 AM onwards in the Chamber of MD (NAM), Secretariat.
General Information
- Merit-Based Appointments: The appointments will be made purely on a merit basis.
- Application Format: Candidates must apply in the prescribed format on A4 size paper.
- Eligibility Check: Applicants should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and provide accurate information. Any suppression of facts will lead to disqualification.
- Work Commitment: Candidates should be prepared to work in remote/hard areas and travel as required.
- Application Requirements: Incomplete applications or those without a photograph will be rejected.
- Contract Basis: Engagement will be as per A&N State AYUSH Society guidelines (National Ayush Mission) on a contract basis for 11 months. Extensions or renewals will depend on performance and agreement terms and will not guarantee a regular appointment.
- Interview Information: No individual call letters will be issued for the interview.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending the interview.
