The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Force, established on October 24, 1962, is responsible for guarding the 3,488 km long India-China border. This extensive border spans from the Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh. The ITBP also undertakes crucial internal security duties and conducts operations against Left Wing Extremism in Chhattisgarh.

Many of the ITBP’s Border Out Posts (BOPs) are positioned at high altitudes, ranging from 9,000 ft to 18,800 ft, where temperatures can plummet to minus 45 degrees Celsius during harsh winters. The ITBP is a specialized Armed Police Force, distinguished by its rigorous training in various disciplines such as mountaineering and skiing, along with intensive tactical training, which collectively contribute to the unique profile of the Force.

Recruitment Notice: Assistant Sub Inspector (Pharmacist)

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Force is inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens to fill vacancies for the position of Assistant Sub Inspector (Pharmacist). This is a temporary position, likely to become permanent, under Pay Level-5 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Rs. 29,200-92,300). Selected candidates will be required to serve anywhere in India or abroad. Educational Qualifications

  1. Pass in Senior Secondary Certificate (10+2) Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board or equivalent.
  2. Diploma in Pharmacy from a Central/State Government institution or any institution recognized by the Central/State Government.
  3. Registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

Age Limit

  • Age Range: 20 to 28 years
    • The upper age limit is relaxable for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, and Government Servants as per Central Government rules. The crucial date for determining the age will be July 28, 2024.
    • Candidates should be born between July 29, 1996, and July 28, 2004.
