About Odisha Staff Selection Commission
Over time, the role of the Odisha Staff Selection Commission has been continuously expanded, and it now possesses the authority to organize recruitment examinations and make recommendations for chosen candidates in the domains of General, Technical, and Non-Technical positions for Group-B & C (Non-Gazetted) roles. These positions are within the various departments of the Odisha State Government, as well as under the supervision of the Heads of Departments that fall under the state government’s purview, with the intent of facilitating appointments.

Pharmacist Positions Available:
- Department: Directorate Prison & Correctional Services, Odisha
- Vacancies: 23 (UR – 2, SC – 10, ST – 11)
- Pay Scale: Level-7 of ORSP, 2017
Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Passed +2 Science Examination under CHSE Odisha or equivalent
- Minimum Diploma in Pharmacy from state Board of Pharmacy, Odisha or recognized institutions
- Registration with State Pharmacy Council, Odisha
Additional Position:
- Department: Directorate of Printing, Stationery & Publication, Odisha, Cuttack
- Vacancies: 1 (ST-1)
- Pay Scale: Level-7 of ORSP, 2017
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Matriculate with Diploma in Pharmacy
Age:
- Minimum Age (as of 01.01.2023): 18 years
- Maximum Age (as of 01.01.2023): 38 years
- Age relaxation available for specific categories
Eligibility:
- Must be a citizen of India
- Good character and sound health
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Odia
- Passed Middle School/HSC Examination with Odia language or equivalent
