  1. The candidate must be one of the following:
    • A citizen of India
    • A subject of Nepal
    • A subject of Bhutan
    • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India
    • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  2. Candidates falling under categories (4.1.2), (4.1.3), and (4.1.4) mentioned above should possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Relaxation:

  1. The cut-off date for determining the age eligibility of candidates will be the last date of submission of the online application.
  2. SC/ST/OBC candidates who choose to apply as unreserved candidates will not be eligible for age relaxation. However, if reserve category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) become eligible due to age relaxation, they will only be considered for reserved seats of their respective category, even if they have the merit to be considered otherwise for unreserved (UR) category.
  3. A relaxation of 5 years in age will be provided to personnel serving in Central/State Government and Autonomous Institutions of Central & State Governments. This relaxation is also applicable to regular employees of AIIMS Bhubaneswar who have completed three years of regular service.

Candidates presently working in AIIMS Bhubaneswar, either on a contractual basis or through an outsourced agency, will be granted one-time age relaxation of one year for each year of completion of contractual/outsourced engagement at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, with a maximum relaxation of up to five years.
