Jamnagar Municipal Corporation is the municipal body responsible for governing the city of Jamnagar in the state of Gujarat, India. Position: Pharmacist cum Data Assistant
Number of Posts: 04
Qualification: Bachelor of Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized College/University. Must be registered with the Pharmacist Council of Gujarat.
Salary: Rs. 16,000/- per month
Merit List Preparation Criteria:
The merit list for selection will be prepared based on the following criteria:
- Graduation Score: 40% of the percentage obtained in the pharmacy degree/diploma.
- Higher Secondary Score: 40% of the percentage obtained in Higher Secondary Board (Science subjects).
- Local Education Bonus: 10% additional marks for candidates who passed their Higher Secondary from Gujarat.
- Local Graduation Bonus: 10% additional marks for candidates with a pharmacy degree/diploma from Gujarat.
- Attempts Deduction: 3% deduction for each additional attempt beyond the first in Higher Secondary Board exams.
- Graduation Attempts Deduction: 3% deduction for each additional attempt beyond the first in graduation.
- Tie-Breaker: In case of equal merit, preference will be given to candidates with an earlier date of birth. Additionally, candidates with an additional certificate or qualification in Management or Computer Science will be preferred in case of a tie.
Other Important Details:
- Application Process: Interested candidates must apply online through the Arogya Sathi Portal (https://arogyasathi.gujarat.gov.in/). Applications submitted through any other means will not be accepted.
- Contract Basis: All positions are on a temporary contract basis and will be contingent on the availability of funds under the National Health Mission.
- Document Submission: It is mandatory to upload all required documents during the application process. Incomplete applications with missing documents will be rejected.
Special Note: Two of the above Pharmacist positions under RBSK have been approved for the current financial year (2024-25) and will be filled from the merit list after receiving approval from the state level.
