The General Services Organization (GSO) is a key constituent unit within the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, and was established in the year 1979. Dr. B. Venkatraman, a Distinguished Scientist who also serves as the Director of the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), holds the position of Director at GSO.

GSO plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining various common facilities within the Atomic Energy Townships located at Kalpakkam and Anupuram. These services include housing, medical facilities, transportation, water supply, civil engineering, electrical work, mechanical maintenance, telecommunications, and computer infrastructure. The organization is structured into different divisions and sections, each responsible for specific functional requirements and areas of expertise.

Among these divisions, the Civil Engineering Division is tasked with overseeing the construction and maintenance of residential quarters for employees and office buildings within the Atomic Energy Townships. This division plays a vital role in ensuring the infrastructure and facilities necessary for the well-being and functioning of the employees and the overall operations of the Department of Atomic Energy.

Walk-In Interview for Locum Basis (Temporary) Positions

Position Details:

  • Number of Posts: 05 (Five)
  • Educational Qualification: HSC (10+2) + 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy + 3 months Training in pharmacy + Registration as a Pharmacist with Central or State Pharmacy Council.
  • Consolidated Monthly Pay: Rs. 44,020/- (consolidated) + HRA, if applicable
  • Age Limit: Not to exceed 50 years as on the date of Interview

Selection Procedure:

  • a) GSO reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates if applications received are high.
  • b) Details of screened-in candidates and interview schedule will be posted on the GSO website.
  • c) Amendments or Corrigenda will be communicated through the GSO Website.
