As a Formulator – NDDS (Novel Drug Delivery Systems) at Cipla, your primary responsibility is to execute and manage developmental project activities. You will be involved in screening and generating new opportunities in emerging drug delivery systems, contributing to the overall research and development goals of the organization. Here are the key accountabilities of the role:

I. Designing New Product Development Strategy:

  • Utilize your technical knowledge and conduct literature research to design a comprehensive strategy for new product development.
  • Assess risks associated with the development process and incorporate risk assessment into the strategy.
  • Create a plan of action with clear timelines for the successful execution of the development project.

II. Material Indent:

  • Raise indent requests to ensure timely availability of required materials for project development.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement and supply chain management.

III. Prototype Formulation:

  • Execute activities related to the formulation of prototypes for new products.
  • Develop proof of concept through the formulation process to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed drug delivery systems.

IV. Data Compilation and Assessment:

  • Collect and compile data generated during the development cycle.
  • Review and analyze the data to identify trends in product performance and quality.
  • Engage in discussions and collaborate with the team to gain insights and make informed decisions based on the data analysis.

V. Knowledge Transfer:

  • Facilitate the transfer of technical know-how from the research and development department to manufacturing units.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure successful scale-up or commercial product development based on the developed formulations.
  • For the position of Formulator – NDDS (71146) at Cipla, the desired candidate profile includes the following qualifications, experience, and competencies:Qualifications:
    • Master of Pharmacy or Master of Technology with a specialization in Pharmaceutics. This educational background provides the necessary knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical sciences and formulation development.

    Experience:

    • 2-3 years of experience in Formulation R&D, preferably with a focus on drug delivery systems. This experience demonstrates familiarity with the development process and hands-on experience in formulating novel drug delivery systems.
