Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve regional sales targets and revenue growth objectives in alignment with MECO’s overall business strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners to expand MECO’s customer base in India and neighboring regions.
- Identify new business opportunities, products, and services that can be offered to customers to drive sales growth and market share in the region.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, market trends, and competitor activity reports to the Singapore office.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the regional sales team to develop and execute cross-functional initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, optimize sales processes, and enhance MECO’s competitive position.
- Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities that may impact MECO’s business in the region.
- Conduct regular reviews of sales performance and profitability by customer, product, and region, and make recommendations to the Singapore office on strategies to improve sales performance and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all MECO policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations.As a Regional Sales Manager, your core responsibilities include:
- Business Development within India:
- Develop and implement a business development strategy to expand MECO’s customer base in India.
- Build strong relationships with clients, EPCs, and other stakeholders in the region.
- Identify and build relationships with agents and suppliers who can contribute significantly to corporate goals.
- Manage all agents in the region and ensure effective delivery of sales strategies to customers.
- Sales and Marketing:
- Develop, evaluate, measure, and monitor agents to ensure effective delivery of sales strategies to customers.
- Conduct training seminars and presentations to customers and agents.
- Research and analyze business opportunities consistent with the organization’s long-term and strategic plans.
- Build and grow a pipeline of sales inquiries.
- Identify opportunities and work with technical teams to grow profitable revenue for the company.
- Market Analysis:
- Maintain awareness of all sales opportunities, competitor activity, and performance plans.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities that may impact MECO’s business in the region.
- Customer Service:
- Interface with service teams for customer care and ensure that customer issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner. Manage sale Process:
- Bids and Quotations:
- Prepare and submit bids and quotations for potential customers in the region.
- Ensure that all proposals are accurate, complete, and timely.
- Interfacing with Headquarter and Regional Offices:
- Liaise with the US headquarters and other regional offices for all sales-related activities.
- Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to the headquarters.
- Contract Management:
- Manage and enforce contract terms and provisions for projects and other business-related ventures in the region.
- Ensure that all contracts are executed in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Sales Tools and Personnel Development:
- Develop sales tools and personnel as needed to expand and build business in the region.
- Provide training and support to the sales team to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve their targets.
- Marketing Opportunities:
- Identify relevant marketing opportunities in pertinent venues, publications, and multimedia platforms.
- Work with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote MECO’s products and services in the region.
- Follow-up and CRM Management:
- Conduct follow-up on all open proposals and maintain the information within the CRM system (HubSpot) on a weekly basis.
- Ensure that all customer interactions are accurately recorded in the CRM system to facilitate effective communication and follow-up.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Meet KPIs around activity and objectives, including sales targets, customer retention, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in sales and business development, preferably in the water treatment, industrial, or related industries.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue growth objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively within India and neighboring regions.
- Authorization to work within India without support from MECO and Grundfos. Job Type and Salary: full-time employee, the Regional Sales Manager will be paid a monthly salary between ₹90,000.00 and ₹180,000.00.

- Schedule:The work schedule is flexible and will be from Monday to Friday.
- Supplemental pay types: The employee may be eligible for a performance bonus in addition to their base salary.
- Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role, and candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in account management, sales, total work, and management.
- Expected Start Date & Work Location: The expected start date for this position is 01/03/2023, and the work location will be in one location.
