About PGIMER
The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) owes its establishment to the visionary efforts of the late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, who served as the Chief Minister of Punjab at the time. This institution was founded with the support of prominent figures in medical education in the combined state of Punjab. Notably, the first Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, played a crucial role by recognizing these institutions as temples of learning and places of pilgrimage for the pursuit of scientific knowledge.

Contract Position in Extramural Research Project at PGIMER, Chandigarh
Applications are invited for the position of Scientist-D on a contract basis in the extramural Research Project under the supervision of Dr. Samir Malhotra, Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacology, PGIMER, Chandigarh.

- Essential Qualification Required at PGIMER: M.Pharmacy or M.Sc with 6 years of Research Experience or PhD with 3 years of Experience.
- Salary: As per ICMR guidelines
Application Process at PGIMER:
Interested candidates should submit their CV to room no. 4035, 4th Floor, Department of Pharmacology, PN Chuttani Block, by 12 PM on January 5, 2024. Applicants are required to appear for an interview (with original testimonials) in the office of the undersigned on January 10, 2024, at 10 AM. In case the number of eligible candidates exceeds thirty times the number of available positions, a screening test will be held on the same day. Further information for interviews will be posted on the Notice Board & PGI website.
Selection Process at PGIMER:
Selected candidates will be informed via email or SMS to appear for the interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
