About ECHS Polyclinics
The ECHS Polyclinics Central Organization is situated in Delhi and operates under the supervision of the Chief of Staff Committee (COSC) through the Adjutant General (AG) and the Director General of Department of Combat & Welfare (DGDC&W) at Army Headquarters. The head of the Central Organization is the Managing Director, ECHS, who holds the rank of a serving Major General. There exist 28 Regional Centers of ECHS along with 426 ECHS Polyclinics. ECHS is affiliated with the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DoESW) which is a part of the Ministry of Defence (MoD), similar to the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) and Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB).
