Job Description

This position offers support to the Analytical Development laboratory, focusing on technical and operational tasks such as Physico-chemical analysis, Instrumental analysis, and material characterization or testing for product development. The successful candidate should possess solid technical skills, enthusiasm for product development, and a dedication to improving patient outcomes. Additional duties may be assigned.

  • Define, organize, plan, and execute analytical activities and materials characterization of pharmaceutical injectables in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct experiments for method development, failure analysis, and root cause analysis within specified timelines.
  • Interpret data from advanced instrumentation techniques and hyphenated techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and Baxter’s defined systems.
  • Investigate and provide technical insights for observed physicochemical issues during product development.
  • Propose innovations and improvement initiatives in collaboration with senior scientists.
  • Maintain good communication and provide regular status updates.
  • Prepare scientific reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional and international project teams.
  • Provide support in equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Adhere to Baxter’s Quality Manual, SOPs, and EHS&S guidelines.

Candidate Profile

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Analysis.
  • Experience in analytical method development for complex injectables.
  • Familiarity with spectroscopic, chromatographic, microscopic techniques, and particle size analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical instruments and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Working knowledge of chemistry principles and structure elucidation techniques.
  • Ability to apply scientific concepts in product development and troubleshooting.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in software applications.
  • Initiative, resourcefulness, and readiness for collaborative work.
  • Understanding of product development processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property rights and pharmaceutical compendial requirements.
  • Well-versed in QbD, DOE, and literature search for analytical method development.
  • Published peer-reviewed journal articles.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to shifting project requirements.
