About the Job:

Walker Cole International is currently seeking a talented and experienced Group Leader – Formulation to join our team. We are a reputable pharmaceutical contract manufacturing and development organization based in Leicestershire. As the Group Leader – Formulation, you will be responsible for leading the formulation department and overseeing the pharmaceutical development activities at our on-site facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide leadership to a team of formulation scientists, ensuring their professional development and growth.
  • Take charge of formulation development projects and drive them to successful completion within defined timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure effective project execution.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the business development team in client engagements, proposal development, and addressing technical inquiries.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and industry trends in formulation development, dosage forms, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, GMP guidelines, and regulatory authorities’ guidelines throughout the formulation process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Extensive industry experience in the pharmaceutical sector, preferably in a formulation development role.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving goals.
  • Strong knowledge and technical expertise in small molecule technologies and oral solid dosage forms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and requirements governing pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external clients.
