About Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC)

The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. IPC is responsible for updating the Indian Pharmacopoeia, publishing the National Formulary of India, and overseeing Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) as the National Coordination Centre (NCC).

Position Details

Post: Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate
Vacancy: 01
Location: Department of Pharmacology, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh – 517507 (Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre under PvPI)
Employment Type: Contractual

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

• Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, or Clinical Research
  OR
• Pharm.D / MBBS / BDS from a recognized university/institute

Desirable Qualification:

• One year of experience in drug safety or pharmacovigilance

Age Limit:

• Not exceeding 28 years

Salary:

• ₹26,250/- per month

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Collecting Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reports.
2. Processing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and managing them in VigiFlow.
3. Conducting quality review, clinical review, and statistical analysis of ICSRs in the drug safety database.
4. Performing any other tasks assigned by the Competent Authority.
