Position Overview

Aurigene is seeking a talented and experienced Scientist to join our Pharmaceutical Development department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmaceutics with a passion for developing novel drug delivery systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that contribute to the advancement of new chemical entities (NCEs) through innovative formulation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulation Development: Develop and manufacture various enabling and novel formulations to enhance the biopharmaceutical properties and bioavailability of NCEs. Expertise in advanced oral and parenteral delivery systems such as lipid-based, nanoparticulate, and biodegradable polymeric systems is essential.
  • NCE Characterization: Utilize in-depth knowledge of physicochemical properties to evaluate the developability of NCEs, including those beyond the “rule of 5” and BCS Class II/III/IV molecules.
  • Pharmaceutical Development Process: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical development processes specific to NCE development.
  • Solid-State Characterization: Conduct solid-state characterization, polymorph screening, and salt screening experiments to support formulation development.
  • Documentation: Prepare protocols, guidelines, and SOPs for laboratory equipment, instruments, and processes in accordance with industry standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to GLP, GMP, ICH guidelines, and safety, health, and environmental systems throughout the development process.

Desired Profile

  • Education: M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) with 8-10 years of industrial experience or Ph.D. in drug delivery/biopharmaceutics with 5-6 years of industrial experience.
  • Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in developing advanced drug delivery systems and a strong understanding of NCE development processes.
