The Senior Manager Quality – Medical Coding position at GeBBS involves supervising and managing a team of 200+ Quality Assurance (QA) professionals.
The role requires excellent domain expertise and process knowledge about Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) for Hospital facility/Physician, with a focus on Facility hospital verses Physician coding, including specialties such as ED Facility/Hospital E&M, Inpatient DRG/Same Day Surgery/Observation/Profee Surgery (Cardiovascular) and Ancillary/Recurring Therapy.
The Senior Manager Quality – Medical Coding is responsible for designing QA capacity planning as per project requirement, delegating tasks and setting deadlines, managing quality of various projects, ensuring effective implementation of the organization’s Quality Management System, monitoring team performance and reporting on metrics, performing random audit of auditor, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on audit observations, identifying knowledge gaps, and developing an action plan with quality leads and operation managers. The role requires the ability to discover training needs and provide coaching to QAs, listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts, recognize high performance and reward accomplishments, encourage creativity and business improvement ideas, suggest and organize team-building activities, and identify improvement opportunities and initiate action plans for improvement.
The Senior Manager Quality – Medical Coding position requires good knowledge of Human Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Diagnostic Studies, Conservative and Surgical Treatments, and understanding of Operative Reports and other report types with documentation requirements.
Role: The role also involves being aware of consequences of risky practices like up-coding and down-coding, Fraud and abuse, inflated documentation, HIPAA, and CLIA rules mandating claim transmission.
