Job Overview:
IQVIA is seeking a skilled Clin Data Coder 1 to provide expertise in data management, contributing to efficient and quality data solutions. As a pivotal member of the Data Management (DM) team, you will play a crucial role in advancing healthcare by performing Clinical Data Management and Coding activities. Essential Functions:
- Independently serve as a Clinical Data Coder and/or Lead Coder or Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for protocols.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of coding activities and/or standalone coding projects.
- Validate/test coding applications, programming of coding reports, and conduct data reviews.
- Lead coding-related project timelines and perform Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reconciliation activities.
- Collaborate with the Data Team Lead (DTL) or Manager to implement new technology.
- Contribute coding and project-related solutions to the DM team.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualification in Pharmacy, Dental, Medical, Nursing, Life Sciences, or related field.
- 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminologies, pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology.
- In-depth knowledge of medical dictionaries (e.g., MedDRA, WHODD).
- Understanding of Data Management processes from study start-up to database lock.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving initiative, and ability to act independently.
- Familiarity with database technologies related to data management and coding.
- Proficient in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) – State Licensure Required.
