Accountabilities

Supporting analytical research and development efforts (method development, validations, transfers, documentation, stability, etc.) for API and drug products will fall under the purview of the incumbent’s individual contributor role. In addition to managing analytical tasks that are outsourced to vendors, the candidate will be in charge of several projects and will collaborate closely with partner groups from across the company, including global development teams (safety sciences, chemistry, formulation, etc.), regulatory, quality, manufacturing, and clinical organisations. The candidate will be in charge of writing, editing, and archiving a variety of documents, including reports, stability data, SOPs, test plans, protocols, stability data, and technical sections related to CMC.

Crucial abilities / competencies

• Extensive comprehension, expertise, and familiarity with a range of contemporary analytical instruments and technologies utilised in the pharmaceutical sector (e.g., dissolution, particle size, U/HPLC, GC, NMR, MS, Karl Fischer, etc.). • Hands-on analytical experience with solid and liquid dosage forms for parenteral, topical, and oral delivery. This includes a track record of analytical problem resolution and proven experience in the technical domains of stability and impurity characterisation and separation. • Solid understanding of the biopharmaceutical elements of drug products, stress stability designs, stabilisation strategies, and drug degradation processes. • A solid grasp of the standards for analytical quality for clinical supplies and technical transfer operations. • Solid comprehension of the procedures involved in developing pharmaceuticals. • Solid understanding of optimisation strategies and the tenets of Quality by Design (QbD). • Effective communication, interpersonal, and presenting skills are crucial.
