Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) – IISCO Steel Plant (ISP), a Maharatna company, invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Pharmacist (Proficiency Trainee). Be a part of a team delivering exceptional healthcare services at a 336-bedded multi-specialty hospital located at Burnpur, West Bengal.

Position Overview

• Post: Pharmacist (Proficiency Trainee – Paramedics)

• Number of Vacancies: 5

  • UR: 4

  • OBC (NCL): 1

• Engagement Type: Temporary training-based engagement

• Tenure: 18 months

• Location: Burnpur, Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

• 10+2 or equivalent

• Diploma in Pharmacy from a Government-recognized institute

• Must be registered with the State Pharmacy Council/Pharmacy Council of India

Desirable Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a Government-recognized institute

• Must be registered with the State Pharmacy Council/Pharmacy Council of India

Experience

• Candidates with post-qualification experience in relevant areas will be given preference.

• The eligibility and experience will be considered as of the advertisement date.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly Stipend: ₹10,000

• Additional Allowances: ₹7,020 (based on attendance)

• Total Consolidated Remuneration: ₹17,020 per month

• Hostel accommodation on payment basis (subject to availability)

• Access to medical facilities for self at SAIL-ISP Hospital, Burnpur

• Experience certificate upon successful completion

• Maternity leave as per Maternity Benefit Act, 1961

Roles and Responsibilities

• Serve in the relevant departments of the hospital

• Attend to on-call and emergency medical needs

• Adhere to all safety, conduct, and ethical norms of the hospital

• Ensure proper use of all hospital equipment and assets

• Time: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply

• No TA/DA will be provided for the selection process

• The engagement is purely temporary and does not guarantee permanent employment

• Selection is subject to medical fitness and document verification

• ISP/SAIL reserves the right to accept/reject any application without assigning reasons

Termination Clause

The engagement can be terminated by either party with one month’s notice or immediately under circumstances including:

• Medical unfitness

• Poor performance

• Misconduct or legal conviction
