Government Medical College, Udhampur, invites online applications from eligible candidates for engagement on an Academic Arrangement Basis for the post of Pharmacist, as detailed in “Annexure A,” under S.O. 364 of 2020, dated 27-11-2020. The engagement will be initially for one year, extendable up to six years based on performance or until selection/promotion is made as per recruitment rules by JKSSB/Competent Authority, whichever is earlier.

Qualification Required:

• Essential: B. Pharmacy degree OR 10+2 with Science and a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized Institute/University.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on merit, determined by marks obtained in the Screening Test.
Note: In case of a tie in merit, preference will be given to the older candidate.

Important Information

1. Appointment & Service Conditions:
   • The appointment and service conditions will be governed by S.O. 364 dated 27-11-2020.
2. Domicile Requirement:
   • Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of J&K and possess a valid domicile certificate issued by the Competent Authority before the last date of application submission.
3. Vacancies:
   • The advertised vacancies are subject to change. The department reserves the right to withdraw/alter vacancies at any stage without prior notice.
4. Minimum Qualification & Eligibility Criteria:
   • As per Government Order No. 670-JK(HME) of 2022, dated 19-09-2022, issued by the Health & Education Department.
5. Application Fee:
   • ₹300/- (to be paid online). Applications without the prescribed fee will be rejected. The fee is non-refundable.

Examination Details

• Date & Center of Examination: Will be notified separately on the official website (gmcudhampur.in/).
• Exam Pattern: Objective-type multiple-choice questions (English only). Negative marking of 0.25 per incorrect answer.
• Syllabus: To be notified on the official website.

Application Process

• Applications must be submitted online along with supporting documents. No other mode of application will be accepted.
• Detailed instructions for filling out the form will be available on the official website along with the application dates.

Final Selection & Document Verification

• Candidates qualifying for the screening test must produce original certificates, including mark sheets, provisional certificates, domicile certificates, and other relevant documents, for verification.
• Failure to provide valid documents within the stipulated time will result in cancellation of candidature.

General Instructions

• Applicants should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before applying.
• Candidates must not be older than 63 years as of the notice date.
• Appointment on an academic arrangement basis does not guarantee regular appointment.
• The arrangement ceases immediately upon joining of a regular appointee.
• Lower-merit candidates in the selection list will be relieved first.
• Selected candidates must submit an affidavit before a Judicial Magistrate, committing to complete one year of service.
• In-service candidates are not eligible to apply.
• GMC Udhampur reserves the right to modify the number of vacancies at any time.
• Candidates found submitting false information will be debarred from applying for two years.
