NIPER-R is an institute of national importance established by an Act of Parliament under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. The institute aims to provide higher education and conduct advanced research in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology.

NIPER-R is currently seeking qualified candidates to join their faculty in various departments. They are looking for individuals who have achieved a high level of expertise, scientific maturity, and have the ability to conduct research, mentor students, and demonstrate leadership qualities in their respective fields. The institute is accepting online applications from eligible Indian nationals for regular faculty positions through an open competition.

  1. Professor (Pharmaceutical Analysis)
    • Post Code: T-001
    • Pay Matrix: Pay level-14 (as per 7th CPC)
    • Number of Posts & Maximum Age Limit: 01 (One) UR; 50 Years
    • Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences / Analytical Chemistry with First class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree (M. Pharm / MS / M.Sc.) in Pharmaceutical Analysis / Quality Control & Assurance / Analytical Chemistry / Organic Chemistry. The candidate should have a very good academic record throughout and at least 10 years of Teaching/Research/Industrial experience with a good publication track record (in SCI journals) / Patents in the mentioned areas.
    • Desirable Qualification: The candidate should have expertise in Analytical method development and validation, impurity profiling, and working knowledge of cGMP quality requirements, FDA/ICH regulatory requirements. Proficiency in handling chromatographic equipment like HPLC, LCMS-MS, GCMS, ICPMS, etc., is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 4 years’ experience at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent, along with administrative experience and managerial capabilities for maintaining sophisticated analytical equipment and leading the department. The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience in independent research by guiding master’s and Ph.D. students.

  2. Assistant Professor (AI/ML & Data Analytics)
    • Post Code: T-002
    • Pay Matrix: Pay level-12 (as per 7th CPC)
    • Number of Posts & Maximum Age Limit: 01 (One) UR; 40 Years
    • Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, or comparable quantitative disciplines with experience in teaching or research in core or applied areas of AI/ML. The candidate should have a very good academic record throughout and at least 5 years of Teaching/Research/Industrial experience (excluding the experience gained during Ph.D.) with published works of high quality.
    • Desirable Qualification: The candidate should have expertise and impact at the intersection of AI/ML and biomedicine, with the ability to make significant contributions in both AI/ML methodology and applications in biomedicine. Areas of interest include AI in healthcare, human in the loop or knowledge-enhanced AI, deep learning, natural language processing, question-answering/conversational AI, brain-inspired computing, semantic/cognitive/perceptual computing, study of health in natural living environments, AI and big data, computer vision, robotics, cyber-physical systems, embodied AI, and human-computer interaction, including personal digital/assistive technology.
    • Period of Probation: One Year

General instructions:

  1. Eligibility, Age, Qualification & Experience: a) Only candidates with Indian Nationality are eligible to apply. b) Pay-levels mentioned are based on the 7th Central Pay Commission. c) The qualifications and experience of candidates must be relevant to the applied position. d) Age and experience requirements will be considered as of the closing date of the advertisement. e) Meeting the qualifications and experience criteria does not guarantee shortlisting. The Institute reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on relevant criteria, which may be higher than the minimum prescribed. f) The Institute reserves the right to make decisions on eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, incomplete or incorrect information provided by applicants, and shortlisting and selection. No correspondence or requests in this regard will be entertained. g) Candidates must not have any pending vigilance or disciplinary cases. Vacancies and Positions:

a) The number of vacancies and positions are as mentioned in the advertisement.

b) The Institute reserves the right to not fill any or all of the advertised positions or cancel the advertisement, either partially or entirely, without providing a reason or incurring any liability. The closing date for receipt of applications may also be extended, and requirements or the recruitment process may be modified without issuing further notice or assigning a reason.

c) Higher basic pay may be considered for candidates of outstanding merit or exceptional performance. d) Appointments under Direct Recruitment are regular with a probation period as per the institute’s norms, and confirmation is based on satisfactory performance.

Age Relaxations:

  • OBC: 3 years of relaxation against reserved posts only
  • SC/ST: 5 years of relaxation against reserved posts only
  • PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) with a minimum disability of 40%:
    • 15 years of relaxation for SC/ST category
    • 13 years of relaxation for OBC category
    • 10 years of relaxation for others
    • These relaxations apply to all posts identified suitable for the relevant category of disability, subject to a maximum age not exceeding 56 years on the last date for receipt of application.
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per the norms of the Government of India.

Disqualification:

a) The Institute reserves the right to verify the antecedents and documents submitted by applicants at any time, either during the appointment process or during the tenure of service. If it is found that applicants have submitted fake documents or have undisclosed undesirable antecedents/background or have suppressed material information, their services may be liable for termination.

b) The character of a person applying for direct recruitment to the service should be such that renders them suitable for appointment in all respects. Individuals who have been dismissed by the Union Government, State Government, Local Authority, or a Government Corporation owned or controlled by the Central or State Government will be considered ineligible for appointment.

c) In case of any inadvertent mistake in the selection process, which may be detected at any stage, even after the issuance of the appointment letter, the Institute reserves the right to modify, withdraw, or cancel any communication made to the applicants.

d) Canvassing in any form on behalf of or by any applicant will lead to disqualification from being considered for the post.

e) Candidates who have obtained degrees, diplomas, or certificates from institutions declared fake/derecognized by the UGC/AICTE/PCI will not be eligible for recruitment to the advertised posts. If such cases are detected during their service, their employment will be terminated immediately.

f) The admission of a candidate to the interview/presentation and subsequent processes is provisional. Issuance of the call letter does not imply that the candidate’s candidature has been finally cleared by NIPER-Raebareli. NIPER-Raebareli reserves the right to reject any application at any stage of the process and cancel the candidature of a candidate if it is found that they do not fulfill the eligibility criteria, have provided incorrect/false information/certificates/documents, or have suppressed any material fact(s). If any of these shortcomings are discovered after an appointment at NIPER-Raebareli, their services may be summarily terminated.

  • The selection committee reserves the right to recommend higher initial pay and position to exceptionally qualified and deserving selected applicants.
  • No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for attending the interview and presentation.
  • Call letters and other correspondence regarding the interview will be sent only to eligible candidates by email. The list of eligible candidates will also be displayed on the Institute’s website.
  • After joining the Institute, the appointed individuals will be subject to the rules, regulations, ordinances, statutes, and acts applicable to the Institute. They may be assigned duties within or outside the Institute as per the work exigencies.
  • No interim correspondence regarding the conduct and result of the tests or interviews will be entertained.
  • In case of any dispute or ambiguity in the selection process, the decision of the Director, NIPER-Raebareli, will be final.
  • Candidates should be in good mental and physical health, free from any physical defects that may interfere with the efficient performance of their duties. Medical certificates from authorized Government Medical Officers must be produced at the time of joining the Institute.

  • In case of any discrepancy or interpretation issues in any version of the advertisement, the English version available on the NIPER-Raebareli website will prevail.
  • Errors and omissions in the notification and selection process are subject to corrections as per the rules and regulations. Recruitment guidelines will be followed as per the NIPER Act, 1998, and subsequent amendments.
  • For universities/institutes that award CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades, candidates should convert them into percentages as per their institution’s guidelines.
